November 16, 2009

Hey Mom,

Well first things first, I got mid-transferred to accomodate some other elders that needed to be rearranged. I am now serving in Loma Rica Ward which is in the same stake. My mailing address will not be the same so you'll have to send mail to my new address or the mission office. My new mailing address is P.O. Box #207 Browns Valley, CA 95918.

My new companion's name is Elder Houx. He's a pretty nice guy. He's quite a letter of the law companion.

It's crazy being 20 but also not all that different ya know? I had a good birthday though it was virtually a normal day. P.S. I got informed of the transfer Friday night and left Saturday morning! I did go out to eat with some members on my birthday so that was fun. Nothing else really all that great that I can think of but it was a good day.

That's awesome that you have so much snow! I'm missing it a lot right now. You'll have to take lots of pictures even though you don't have either of my memory cards yet, but they could be transferred :)

I'm jealous that you are going to Disneyland for Thanksgiving again :D That'll be so much fun! Strange to think you'll be in the same state but still about 9 hours away from me! (That's about the same distance as from Utah)

Thanksgiving I have no idea now. I was going to be going to the Coxe's house and eat and play football and what not (it's a full P-day), but now I have zero clue.

Marcella's baptism didn't go through...long upsetting story. So she told her mom that she was getting baptized, her mom threw a temper tantrum and talked to her dad. Then her dad told her that if she got baptized she wouldn't be living under his roof. So we thought she might still go through with it because she knows the church is true and the Westmorelands offered to let her move in with them. Well Saturday she didn't so we were hoping for Sunday night cuz she had mentioned it. Well that didn't go through either. I know she'll get baptized but now it's a matter of when. Poor Brad (her boyfriend) spent all the money to fly out and take off work for nothing :P Ah well, hopefully things improve and she'll make the decision she knows is right to be baptized.

I'm glad you thought about me all day and celebrated with Tepanyaki.

I bet watching the BYU game was way fun :D (Dunno the result yet since I haven't read Dad's email)

Love you tons,

Elder Jay Davis

Hey Dad,

I'm glad you had fun celebrating my b-day at Tepanyaki. The birthday was great. You'll have to read Mom's email about mid-transfers and then know that I'm sorry that I can't repeat a lot of stories for time reasons.

Mom definitely put a lot of thought into that B-day package I could tell.

Well it's a bummer that it wasn't a better score against New Mexico but it's still a great thing that we beat them. That could have been really bad if we hadn't.

Oh, have fun planning for 2010...:P

That's awesome that you have so much snow already...JEALOUS!

Blech, I'm upset about the baptism, didn't go through, I explained in Mom's email, sorry for such a rushed email, that's explained in Mom's too.

This new area (will make sense after you read Mom's) is pretty dead so it's going to be a lot of work with not a lot of interesting stuff to tell you.

I love you tons,

Elder Jay Davis
