April 26, 2010

Mom,

Yep, getting along with companions is a HUGE plus. He and I are going to have a lot of fun. We haven't found any new investigators this week but we've been more busy so hopefully things will continue progressing well.

Yep, the Tharps being baptized by their son was AWESOME! Anthony was baptized the week before that. Hmm...that makes 7 for this area so I'm at over 10...I'd have to think for a bit to tell you exactly how many.

Yep, the ants were not fun. It was pretty fun ripping our apartment to shreads (just moving the furniture etc. we didn't actually destroy anything). Putting it back together hasn't been much fun. It's still in shambles a bit because we were making sure we'd really solved the problem before we put everything back. I think we've gotten it, we bought some ant traps (there's this AMAZING 99 cent store that had four for a dollar :D) and placed them, so things seem to be going well.

Wow, that's cool that you are in St. George again :D You are going to be pretty warn out by the end of all of this process :P It's awesome that you are able to help them so much.

Happy Anniversary :D I knew it was in April but I spaced it. That's good that you were able to go see a movie and eat at Ruby River...YUM!

HAHAHA! The funny thing about you thinking that if you don't take a lot of time on your letter I'll write more (well you know what I mean) is that I usually just respond to what you write so the longer your email the longer the response. Although you would have to give me prompts to get information from the mission because I just never can think of what to write about but I'll do my best.

This week has been pretty uneventful for me as well. Um...OH! I would really like it if you could send me two recipes, first I need a recipe for sugar cookies...I have a recipe for almond frosting, now I just need cookies to put it on. Second, I would love the recipe for banana chocolate chip cupcakes :D Thanks!

Hmmm...I don't really think much else has happened.

Mother's Day is coming up! Just two weeks from yesterday. So what do you want the plan to be? I basically just need to know if we're doing the conference bridge like last time (I also asked Dad so you two can collaborate) and what times you'll be available. That way I can talk to the Littlefields or whoever and see if I can use somebody's phone. :D I'm looking forward to talking :D

Alright, I think that's everything for this week.

I love you tons!

Elder Jay Davis

Hey Dad,

You are welcome for the email last week :D Thanks for the email this week ;) I'm glad you enjoyed hearing about the baptisms.

Yup, I'm definitely glad to be relieved of the DL duties ;) (I can go to bed on time/early on Sundays instead of having to deal with numbers)

lol, that's funny that you forgot you were going to be talking. I know you are really good at speaking and on the spot speaking at that. I've had some situations where I was asked shortly before and had to speak :)

Sounds like a good priesthood lesson. It's always good when everybody is involved.

That's good that Mom is helping G&G Johnson. It's a bummer you won't see her much but soon G&G will be in Santaquin :D

lol, you crack me up. I remember you always waiting as long as you possibly could to fertilize the lawn ;) Believe it or not I still miss mowing the lawn. I think I've mentioned that before, but I still miss it ;)

Holy cow! That really is crazy that Jordan would be coming home in September if he hadn't extended! That's really awesome!

Time is DEFINITELY going very fast. I've already been serving with Elder Boyter for two weeks!

Hmmm...I don't think I really had any fun stories this week...I'll have to think about it.

For Mother's Day, I know it's technically Mom's call but I'll ask you and her about what you want the plan to be...my hope is that once again I can just find a member that has free long distance who doesn't mind us barging in on their Mother's Day ya know? So hopefully the Littlefields again, that was fun. So let me know times and details and what not.

Love ya,

Elder Jay Davis
