Hey Mom,
Happy Birthday Again! I am excited for the phonecall! Actually...one of our members offered to let us have a video conference with you with their webcam...we are going to give them our phone numbers and have them call you and talk to you about it :D We would use skype...sounds fun to me :D
Glad to hear you were able to spend more time with Grandma and Grandpa :D
That's AWESOME that you and your two sisters got to sing together again! I miss hearing that at the family get-togethers :D I think one of my FAVORITES is Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy! OH YEAH! :D I love it. In fact during Christmas I was really craving your CD of you and your sisters singing.
That's understandable that you are the most available to help them. I'm glad that Aunt Jennifer was able to stay for a while longer. I'm sure Dad understands and he and Kody are probably helping a lot at home (even if it's not enough to keep everything caught up lol)
That story about the power outage and you trying to play the songs on the Clavinova was hilarious! It made my day! I actually just laughed out loud in the library...oops...lol! That's hilarious! I can only imagine it...too bad it wasn't on tape ;) We had a power outage for a while too...which causes the water and EVERYTHING in our apartment to be out of commission...oh well. It was fun.
That's awesome that you've had some fun times going out to eat with family and friends. I'm sure you'll be happy to have real homemade food for a change, but it's always fun eating out. I've really been craving One Man Band for some reason...mostly for the jukebox I think ;) And you should definitely choose Tepanyaki...or maybe you could choose something else this year so next year I can go to Tepanyaki with you ;) lol j/k
Wow, that's crazy that you had snow. Our weather here has been ALL over the place! We had sunshine at the very beginning of the week. Then a MAJOR hail and wind and thunder and lightning storm on Tuesday. Then back to sunshine! It's been bizarre but kinda fun :D I'm ready to get my California suntan back :D
Okay, hard copies of the recipes would be great too. Don't stress Mom, I'm not going to get upset with you over not sending stuff or whatever so don't worry I am being patient with you :D I have grown in my patience and respect ;) I just appreciate all you do for me :D
I love you tons too! I'm not sure of what fun stories to write about yet but I'll try to send a mass email out :D
Love,
Elder Jay Davis
Hey Dad!
Okay, thanks for the details about the call. We actually have a member who offered to let us have a video conference with you using Skype and their webcam...what do you think? He is going to get our home phone numbers and call you to find out information and stuff, so you can give your response then seeing as an email response would be too late (unless I get it today). I think it'd be fun but I'll be totally fine if you'd rather just do a phonecall. Just think about it so you can respond when he calls.
Okay, 4 pm our time should be fine. We are supposed to have 40 min to talk which will be perfect because our dinner appointment is supposed to be around 5 so that should be just right. (all times are in California time in that paragraph lol) I'm glad you're all excited to hear my voice. I'm excited to call!
lol, there are always delays in the business world, but at least all of those last minute touches will make it a million times better as simple as they seem.
Thanks for the advice about bearing testimony. I do my best. It's hard for me to classify it as a testimony when it's not structured like what I consider a typical testimony, but I definitely share what I believe a lot which is a testimony in it's most basic form. Thanks again for always giving me little tips :D I love them.
lol, I can't wait until next Sunday either! I am sure I'll have a great week. You too.
Love,
Elder Jay Davis
Grandma and Grandpa,
I am doing wonderfully...assuming I am the missionary grandson you just described ;)
Just FYI you are definitely invited for Mothers Day if you would like to chat for a bit ;)
The weather here has been VERY bizarre this week. Sunshine, then hail/wind/thunder/lightning on Tuesday, then back to sunshine...very weird. Yep, Utah weather is weird and California is trying to make Elder Davis feel at home ;)
Luckily I haven't had to speak in Sacrament meeting too often, but I do get the opportunity to play the piano a lot as special musical numbers which I have learned to enjoy. That's a bummer that the rooms were cold.
That sounds like an AWESOME deck! I am excited to see it! Sounds new fangled ;)
I will definitely have a great week and I'll keep my eyes open for one new thing to do :D That's a good goal.
Thanks again for the email.
Love,
Elder Jay Davis
