Hey Mom,
Wow, snow again?! That's crazy. Well I guess we've had some rain so that would make sense that you had snow. That's good that you are getting water, but I'd be tired of snow about now too.
Dinner with the Goforths was great! Thank you so much for the ideas you gave her. She made mashed potatoes, steak, and fruit salad. Then she served cheesecake and vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup for dessert. It was awesome! They really are a cool family. I made them some sour cream cookies as a thank you and they LOVED them! So thanks for sending the recipe a while back ;)
No new investigators this week sadly...works been hard lately. That's typical though, the teaching pool is full, then they get baptized and you have to work really hard to replenish the teaching pool. We are still working with the Tharps and Anthony. Ty has still been out of town for work. He just got back but is leaving again. It is almost for sure that we'll have to postpone his baptism, but I don't have any doubt that he will still get baptized.
That's nice of you and Dad to put so much effort into Kody's Prom. I know you always did for mine too :) I know Kody was extra excited about this one. I'm looking forward to hearing about it in Kody's email.
Sounds like a fun date with the Rowleys :) I am definitely missing watching movies lol. I have heard very good things about Avatar especially in 3D.
Thanks for the letter :) For sending a "quick" letter that was pretty decent sized ;)
Love you tons! Have a great beautiful weather day!

Hey Dad,
I'm glad you enjoyed reading the emails :D I love reading the emails from the family as well, plus typing the responses is a ton of fun for me.
Dinner was AWESOME! You're right that Spaetzle would have been hard. I was thinking Rouladen would be pretty difficult too! She made steak (not as good as yours but good), mashed potatoes, fruit salad, cheesecake, and ice cream with chocolate syrup! It was really wonderful!
Yeah, I think you're right that music is sort of a dying art and it bums me out too. I heard rumor that people were going to stop making pianos (obviously they won't entirely), but prices could go way high. So hopefully I'll be able to get a good, cheap piano for my house one day ;) I'm not too worried about it, it's high on my priority list regardless of price.
...*sigh*...transfers are April 13th. So we'd find out April 12th and then the actual transfer would be April 13th. You're right, I have come to really love this area and the ward and I have no doubt that it'll be hard for me when I get transferred (which I'm expecting this transfer) and I'm assuming the ward will be disappointed as well. It's been really eating away at me this past week. I've been stressed and worried and minorly depressed to be quite honest lol. I'm sure I'll be excited for whatever the new adventure is, but it's still pretty hard to leave behind something that I've grown to love so much. We'll definitely have to come visit this area on our mission tour ;)
Thank you for the "dad advice" Dad :) I don't think I really hinted too much at how much I don't want to be transferred in my last email, but you were definitely following the Spirit on that one because I needed to hear that. I'm really not looking forward to any place President Pendleton could send me, and I'm afraid I'll get bummer for a companion (pardon the expression). I will do my best to work hard and keep a smile on no matter where I go. Making friends in the ward is something I have learned that I don't have a problem with at all. It's actually my favorite part about the mission. I've found that I just have to use the courtesy and good manners that I was taught by you guys and I always end up being more polite than my companion and (unintentionally) more liked by the members. (I've been pretty disgusted by the rudeness of a majority of missionaries...they haven't really left the world behind...it's a bummer). Anyway, thanks again for the advice. (That's awesome about the baptism too!)
That's awesome that you were able to go spend an awesome weekend with the Rowleys :D I miss seeing them and their kids. I also miss watching movies ;) Oh well, I'll have a lot to look forward to when I get back.
That's awesome that your year of BYU has just flown by. I'm sure it's as weird for you as it is weird for me that time has just been cruising by. Thanks for the Happy Easter wish ;) I am looking forward to General Conference big time. It's definitely one of my highlights on my mission. This'll be my third and only one to go! Crazy huh?!
That sounds like a crazy experience having a ward for only 8 weeks and then having it change around again! I bet moving records around is quite an ordeal!
Thanks for all of your love and support and for the awesome email :D
I am using my talents a lot, cooking, music, etc.
Love you tons!
Love,
Elder Jay Davis
