Believe it or not, the first day at the MTC has been SO great! I have a wonderful companion, Elder Bailey. He is from Monticello. He was called as our district leader tonight. I am the senior companion. I can hardly believe just how much takes place on the first day!
Today, after you all left, we got our schedule for the day and were sent to our rooms. They look like glorified Heritage Halls rooms. : ) They are nice though so no worries. We unpacked and just got to know each other. Elder Bailey and I are rooming with Elders Schiffman and Mullins. We all get along super well even though they're all sporty. Next we had orientation with the MTC Presidency. Lucky for us they finished early so we got extra dinner time! Wednesday nights are Creamery ice cream night. Then we had orientation with our Branch Presidency. Following the orientation we had a brief tour of the grounds. Finally we came back and had planning time and now we are writing the only letter we get to write on a non-preparation day. Sorry I'm being so short, we have quiet time soon.
I love you all and I'm missing you, but surprisingly I'm not having a hard time at all. Tomorrow we start our classroom studying.
Anyway, feel free to send me packages (candy, donuts, anything). : )
Make sure you tell everybody I say hi since I can't wait until preparation day to write. : ) Ask questions if you have them to make my job easier. : )
Love,
Elder Jay Davis
